I finally had the opportunity to stop by and check out the old campus of the Medfield Hospital. If you are in the area, definitely go check it out before they tear it down.
The morning I went it was cold and foggy. It was totally creepy….there is no way this place isn’t haunted. 🙂 I read that in its prime, it had a patient population of over 2500 and had an average of 4 deaths per week…doesn’t seem unreasonable being around 1900. It is like a ghost town. The site is set up in a cottage style and there has to be 40-50 buildings. A night visit would be interesting.
A lot of the outer structures on the buildings are rotted and/or falling down so be careful if you get close to any of the buildings.
